Learning Objectives
This course provides an in-depth understanding of the requirements of the NSW Swimming Pool Act, Regulation, the NCC and relevant Australian Standards, delving deep into why certain requirements are enforced


In particular, we look at:
•Why swimming pool safety is so important
•The requirements of the Swimming Pool Act and Regulations
•The exemption requirements of the Act and when they apply
•How to establish which version of the Australian Standard to apply with reasons why
•The specific requirements of each AS 1926- 1986, AS 1926.1-2007 and AS 1926.1-2012, including what should or shouldn't be within a Non-Climbable Zone
•How to adequately inspect a swimming pool barrier using practical and real case scenarios
•How to enforce the legal requirements of the Swimming pool legislation and implement legal action
•How to interact with clients in a regulated environment
•The recirculation requirements of the Australian Standard 1926.3 and how to prevent swimming pool entrapment
