NSW Fair Trading integrity unit have recently sent correspondence to some Registered Swimming Pool Inspectors reminding them of their responsibilities regarding the correct application of the Swimming Pools Act and Regulations, particularly surrounding Exemptions and the application of Clause 30 and 31.

The course aims to clarify and reinforce your understanding of the Swimming Pools Act 1992 and Regulations thereunder. In particular, we delve into the requirements relating to:

•The general workings of the Swimming Pools Act and Regulation
•The application of the Prescribed Standards as nominated in the Swimming Pool Regulation
•The application of Section 8, 9, 10 and 20 Exemptions
•An in-depth review of Clause 30 and 31 which relates to the ability to use a previous version of the prescribed standard under certain circumstances
